Gojkovic with African Union Commission Chairperson
National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic met today with the Chairperson of the African Union Commission Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, currently visiting Serbia.
Gojkovic and Zuma agreed that there is plenty of room to develop and expand cooperation in great many areas, both in the business sector and at the parliamentary level.
Gojkovic emphasised the potential of the relations grounded in friendship between Serbia and the African Union. Gojkovic pointed out that the visit of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission to Serbia is exceptionally significant in that context.
The National Assembly Speaker applauded the signing of the Memorandum of Economic Cooperation between the Serbian Government and the African Union Commission and thanked the African states for their support of Serbia’s territorial integrity.
Zuma said that she expects her visit to Serbia to result in an enhancement of relations between Serbia and the African Union, adding that there is ample potential for cooperation, economic and otherwise.
