Gojkovic Sends Telegram of Condolences to Cuban National Assembly President
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba Juan Esteban Lazo Hernández on the deaths caused by hurricane Irma.
“We were deeply distressed by the tragic news of the loss of human lives and irreparable material damages caused by the disastrous hurricane that struck your country. Please allow me to extend deepest sympathies and solidarity on the devastation caused by the natural disaster on the behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and myself to you, the members of the National Assembly of People's Power and the friendly people of Cuba.
It is hard to find encouraging words in these difficult and dark times, but I am sure that you will have the strength to offer support to those who had lost their families, assist those in danger and rebuild what was destroyed.
Please convey our deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and our hopes that the injured would recover quickly.”
