Fourth Sitting of the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija
At the sitting held on 21 February, the members of the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija reviewed the Office for Kosovo-Metohija Activity Report for the period January – December 2016 and were also briefed on the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
Dusan Kozarev, Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija, presented the Office for Kosovo-Metohija Activity Report for the period January – December 2016, briefing the Committee members on the expenses and projects realized in said period.
Following a debate, the Committee members accepted the Office for Kosovo-Metohija Activity Report for the period January – December 2016 by majority vote.
Dragan Vladisavljevic, Director of the Office for the Coordination of Affairs in the Process of Negotiations with the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government in Pristina, briefed the Committee members on the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue in detail, focusing on the key issues viz. the Community of Serb Municipalities and cadastre, telecommunications, energy, bridge, diplomas, judiciary, police, official visits, status of the property of the Serbian Orthodox Church , and human rights of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija.
Vladisavljevic stressed that a constructive approach is essential to build trust and address the existing problems between the Serb and Albanian communities.
At the end of the sitting, the Committee Chairman informed the members that the Committee had received two civic petitions in the intervening period between two sittings.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Milovan Drecun, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Mirko Krlic, Miodrag Linta, Aleksandar Markovic, Milovan Krivokapic, Sonja Vlahovic, Aleksandar Cotric, Tanja Tomasevic Damnjanovic, Zvonimir Stevic, Bozidar Delic, Miljan Damjanovic, Gordana Comic, Miroljub Stankovic, Haji Milorad Stosic, Bosko Obradovic, Slavisa Ristic, Dr Sanda Raskovic Ivic and Goran Bogdanovic.
