Fourth Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 27 July, the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues discussed the reasons for the termination of a number of MPs’ terms of office.


The Committee ascertained that the election of MPs Aleksandar Vucic, Zorana Mihajlovic Milanovic and Goran Knezevic, elected from the LET'S GET SERBIA MOVING - TOMISLAV NIKOLIC Electoral List, falls within the scope of the situation described in Article 88, paragraph 1, item 5 of the Law on the Election of Members of Parliament according to which taking over a function or position which are incompatible with the function of MP is listed as one of the reasons for the termination of an MP’s term of office and enables the election of new MPs.

The Committee also established that the following MPs have tendered resignations: Bojan Pajtic, Ruzica Pavlovic-Djindjic and Rasim Ljajic, from the CHOICE FOR BETTER LIFE - BORIS TADIC Electoral List, MP Velimir Ilic, from the LET'S GET SERBIA MOVING - TOMISLAV NIKOLIC Electoral List, MPs Ivica Dacic, Jovan Krkobabic, Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, Zarko Obradovic and Milutin Mrkonjic elected from the SOCIALIST PARTY OF SERBIA (SPS), PARTY OF UNITED PENSIONERS OF SERBIA (PUPS), UNITED SERBIA (US) Electoral List and MPs Mladjan Dinkic, Suzana Grubjesic and Verica Kalanovic from the UNITED REGIONS OF SERBIA Electoral List.

The Committee ascertained that this was a situation described in Article 88, paragraph 1, item 2 of the Law on the Election of Members of Parliament according to which resignation is listed as one of the reasons for the termination of an MP’s term of office before the expiration of the term he/she had been elected for.

The Committee decided to propose that the National Assembly should note the termination of the terms of office of said MPs.

The sitting was chaired by Jorgovanka Tabakovic, Committee Chairperson.
