Forty-Fourth Sitting of the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija

At the sitting held on 29 February, the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija discussed the upcoming parliamentary and local elections in the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was attended by the National Assembly Speaker Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, who, addressing the Committee members, announced that she would call the elections on 13 March when the President of the Republic of Serbia would also call the parliamentary elections. She restated that general local elections would not be called because in some municipalities the local self-government’s term of office has still not expired.
In the course of the discussion on the upcoming local elections the Committee members asked the National Assembly Speaker several questions about her earlier statements to which she responded that all of her statements on these issues have been very clear.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Ljubomir Kragovic.
