Fortieth Sitting of the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija
At the sitting held on 23 December, the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija considered the Bill on the 2012 Budget of the Republic of Serbia, section 26, allocating about 4.6 billion RSD for the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija.
Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic declared the proposed budget social and only partly developmental. He emphasised the need for strict control over the expenditure of budget funds, adding that next year’s budget was the first to include expenditure control.
Following a debate that included some criticism to the proposed budget and opinions that the budget demonstrated the state policy’s responsibility for Kosovo-Metohija, the Committee proposed, by a majority of votes, that the National Assembly should accept the Bill on the 2012 Budget of the
