Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Receives Azerbaijani Ambassador to Serbia
Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic met today with the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Serbia H.E. Eldar Hasanov to discuss the two countries bilateral relations.
Chairman Obradovic thanked Ambassador Hasanov for his country’s support of Serbia, especially in international organizations, as regards its territorial integrity in Kosovo-Metohija and upholding Resolution 1244.
The officials opined that the relations between Serbia and Azerbaijan are excellent and both sides strive to make them even better. They especially emphasised the comprehensive cooperation of the Serbian and Azerbaijani delegations to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
Ambassador Hasanov informed the Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman about the Embassy’s activities, projects in Serbia involving Azerbaijani companies, and Azerbaijan’s support of Serbia in the Kosovo-Metohija issue in international organizations in the last year.
He congratulated Chairman Obradovic on the Serbian delegation’s latest success in PACE when Kosovo’s attempt to join the organization was thwarted.
