The National Assembly Speaker stressed that the future development of Europe is based on the development of cities and regions, the engines of political and social progress and that living together along the banks of the Danube rests on tolerance, democracy, understanding and respect. Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic suggested that the young people, participants of the camp, should go a step further and not only tolerate but love one another.

The Fifth Youth Tolerance Camp of Danube basin regions and cities “Along the Danube without Frontiers” in Backa Topola gathers about 200 young people from Ukraine, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia, aged 18 to 22. This year’s anniversary camp is marked by a new stamp of creativity. The representatives of each of the regions will, in their own way, inform the rest of the participants about the music, tradition, culture, gastronomy, education and language of their region.
