Eighth Sitting of the Environmental Protection Committee

At a sitting held on 11 January 2023, the members of the Environmental Protection Committee reviewed the Ministry of Environmental Protection activity information for the period May – July 2022 and August – October 2022.

The Ministry activity information was presented by Minister of Environmental Protection Irena Vujovic.

She outlined the Ministry’s normative and programme activities in the reporting period. She pointed out that in the period May – July 2022, the Ministry adopted a number of ordinances and also signed a number of regulations and agreements in the field of environmental protection. It also adopted an action plan for the implementation of the Republic of Serbia Waste Management Program for the period from 2022 to 2024.

She went on to speak about capital projects, saying that in the reporting period the Ministry had signed contracts with 37 local self-government units for 42 projects.

Following a comprehensive debate, the Committee adopted the Ministry of Environmental Protection activity information for the period May – July 2022 and August – October 2022.

The sitting was also attended by state secretaries at the Ministry of Environmental Protection Sara Pavkov, Sandra Dokic, Aleksandar Dujanovic and Assistant Minister Aleksandra Imsiragic Djuric, as well as the Director of the Environmental Protection Agency Stefan Simeunovic.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Aleksandar Jovanovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Milimir Vujadinovic, Dusan Radojevic, Dalibor Scekic, Darko Jovanovic, Marko Mladenovic, Dejan Bulatovic, Radomir Lazovic, Milan Glusac, Jasmin Hodzic, Prof. Dr Branimir Jovancicevic, Dusan Maric, Prof. Dr Djordje Pavicevic, Marijan Ristiicevic, Zoran Stojanovic and Dragana Rakic and MP Radmila Vasic who is not member of the Committee.
