The Chairman of the Committee on Kosovo and Metohija, Ljubomir Kragovic, convened the eighth sitting of the Committee on Kosovo and Metohija for 11 February 2009, to discuss conclusion 6 that the Assembly of the Community of Municipalities of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija forwarded to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

Following the discussion, conclusions were passed stating that the Committee on Kosovo and Metohija endorses the proposal of the Community of Municipalities of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija that National Assembly deputies attend this body’s sitting scheduled for 17 February at 12 p.m. in Zvecan.

The Committee concluded to ask the National Assembly Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic not to schedule a National Assembly sitting for 17 February so that the deputies can organise a visit to Kosovo-Metohija and attend the sitting in Zvecan.

According to the passed conclusions, the Committee believes that the Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic should attend the sitting in Zvecan.

At the sitting, the Committee also concluded to forward a request to the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija to submit information on the means the Fund for Kosovo-Metohija had at its disposal since its foundation in 2004 until the end of 2008 and how they were used.

The sitting was chaired by the Chairman of the Committee on Kosovo and Metohija, Ljubomir Kragovic.
