Dramatic Reading of Documentary Play Seven at National Assembly

Documentary play Seven, based on the intense life stories of seven women’s rights activists from around the world was performed today in the Small Hall of the National Assembly House.


The MPs, representatives of institutions responsible for protecting the rights of women exposed to violence by men and the guests were addressed by Meho Omerovic, Chairman of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality, Biljana Hasanovic Korac, coordinator of the Women’s Parliamentary Network, Christer Asp, Swedish Ambassador to Serbia and Danijela Rankovic, coordinator of project Seven in Serbia.

The dramatic reading of the play was provided by Gordana Comic, Ana Sacipovic, Ana Sofrenovic, Ivon Jafali, Aida Corovic, Vesna Bujosevic and Gordana Mitrovic, under the direction of Anja Susa.

The dramatic reading of Seven was organised by the Youth Initiative for Human Rights in cooperation with the Women’s Parliamentary Network and the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, with the support of the Swedish Embassy in Serbia, Swedish Institute Hedda Production and Civil Rights Defenders.
