In her address, she emphasised the exceptional importance of the earliest possible inclusion of the Western Balkans in the European Union, commenting that this is the only way to ensure long-term peace and security in Europe without the influence of great powers.

She also emphasised that, since the Thessaloniki Summit in 2003, the Western Balkan countries have been working intensively on overall reforms and it can be safely said that integration in the fields of transport, financial services, ICT technology, innovation, education, youth, as well as in many other segments, is almost complete. The need for the Western Balkans to join the EU has gained even more importance since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. With the entire Balkans in the EU, Europe will be more stable and safer, Pilja stressed at the end of her address and called on all participants once again, as mandate holders in their countries, as well as those who control their governments, to take responsibility and accelerate the entry of the Western Balkans into the EU.

Delegation member Dragan Markovic participated and gave a presentation on the topic "Europe’s role in a changing/turbulent Middle east: Crafting a coherent".

Markovic pointed out the consequences of excessive use of force in international relations and selective respect for international law.

He recalled that such selective respect for international law led to the bombing of Serbia in 1999. Finally, he thanked all European countries that consistently respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country.
