Constituting Meeting of National Assembly Economic Caucus, 13th Legislature

The constituting meeting of National Assembly Economic Caucus, 13th Legislature, held in the National Assembly House, was opened by MP Dr Aleksandra Tomic.

Tomic expressed satisfaction at the MPs’ interest in setting up this informal parliamentary group in the 13th Legislature, reminding the attending that in its previous iterations, since 2014, the Economic Caucus had done a lot in terms of legislation, primarily through the submission of amendments to bills resulting from the joint work of Caucus members and partners.

MA Ninoslav Eric was elected Head of the National Assembly Economic Caucus, 13th Legislature, with Gorica Gajic and Zoran Tomic as deputy heads.

Eric said that the Economic Caucus was set up with the desire to establish an effective mechanism of public-private dialogue, expressing the expectation that in the current National Assembly legislature, through openness and transparency of its work and the inclusion of all interested economic entities, representatives of local self-government and the executive authority, the Caucus would work on the economic development of Serbia, primarily through legislative activities.

NALED representatives Violeta Jovanovic, Jelena Bojovic and Milan Antonijevic presented the previous results and achievements of the National Assembly Economic Caucus, as well as the legislative focus and operative methods for the coming period.
