Children’s Day at National Assembly
With the event Children’s Day, organised under the auspices of Parliamentary Week, the National Assembly reached out to our youngest citizens through educational workshops, an art exhibition, reading of literary works and a tour of the National Assembly edifice.
“There are a lot of fine days at the National Assembly, but this is undoubtedly one of the finest because it is filled with children. Here we debate and make important decisions to make you happy and help you grow up to become noble and good people. I hope you will leave this House with the knowledge that talk can resolve anything.”
The attending were then addressed by Dalibor Stojanovic of the Children’s Cultural Centre Belgrade, after which the students of “Vlada Aksentijevic” Elementary School performed Stefan Micanovic’s interactive mini-comedy “The Little Prince”. The children then viewed the exhibition “What the parliament means to me?” of the Children’s Cultural Centre’s art studio and pottery workshop, read literary works, took part in educational workshops and were given a tour of the National Assembly House.
Children’s Day was attended by the students of “Drinka Pavlovic” and “Vlada Aksentijevic” elementary schools from Belgrade, elementary school “Radomir Lazic” from Azanja and a number of elementary schools from Trstenik.
