Brnabic with Dutch Entrepreneurs: Netherlands Important Economic Partner to Serbia

During her visit to The Hague, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic met today with representatives of Dutch companies and representatives of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).

"The Netherlands is an important economic partner for us and one of the leading investors in Serbia. We are interested in expanding cooperation in new sectors such as opening Dutch research and development centres, ICT, environmental protection, energy production, energy efficiency and water management technology," Brnabic said after the meeting.

As she pointed out, both sides recognized the importance of finding new and promising forms of cooperation through which they would jointly respond to some of the growing challenges, especially those of the European economy.

"I look forward to hosting a delegation of Dutch companies next week," she added.

Earlier, Brnabic met with the members of two Dutch parliamentary committees - the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on European Affairs.

Brnabic began her visit to The Hague with a meeting with the President of the House of Representatives Martin Bosma and the President of the Senate Jan Anthonie Bruijn.

In addition to Speaker Brnabic, the delegation also includes the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee Marina Ragus, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and Chairperson of the European Integration Committee Elvira Kovacs, and the MP and Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Benelux Aleksandar Mirkovic.
