Brnabic and Kos: Ambitious but Feasible Plan to Open Cluster 3 by End of July
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, said today, after talks in Brussels with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, that all the topics concerning what Serbia must do before the final opening of Cluster 3 were discussed at the meeting, and stressed that there is a possibility that this can be realised by the end of July.
"We confirmed with Commissioner Marta Kos what our plan is, which is to try to finish everything by mid-July so that they could possibly open Cluster 3 by the end of July. It is an ambitious plan, but it is what we want and what we certainly think we can do," Brnabic told the media after the meeting with Kos.
She said that they discussed reforms, the election of members of the REM Council, ODIHR recommendations, as well as media laws.
She said that Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starovic was also at the meeting with her.
"So he was able to go into more detail about everything that is important for the next annual progress report," Brnabic said.
