Brnabic Meets with SAPC Delegation

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic met today with the co-chair of the Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee Loucas Fourlas and the SAPC delegation.

The National Assembly Speaker thanked the European Parliament delegation for the visit and the opportunity to host the representatives of four different parliamentary groups, highlighting it as a positive example, stressing that it is the parliamentary representatives’ task to enable the exchange of opinions and maintain dialogue despite differing views.

She also said that Serbia's main foreign policy priority is membership in the European Union. She thanked the Ambassador and Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic Serbia Andreas von Beckerath for his significant commitment and assistance with matters currently being worked on and related to the implementation of necessary reforms.

Brnabic said that she hopes for a positive step in Serbia's integration process by the end of the year, and as she noted, the opening of Cluster 3 as soon as possible would be excellent news for our country.

In addition to the co-chair, the delegation of the Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee also includes MEPs Alessandra Moretti, Annamaria Vicsek and Aleksandar Nikolic.
