Atlagic Welcomes Participants of International Conference on High Energy Physics

The Chairman of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic addressed the participants of the International Conference on High Energy Physics (Large Hadron Collider Physics Conference - LHCP 2023), hosted by the National Assembly House.

"It is an honour and a great pleasure to be able to welcome you to the House of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, on behalf of National Assembly Speaker Dr Vladimir Orlic and on my own behalf. You are in the House of Parliament of the Serbian people, the people who gave birth to one of the greatest geniuses ever to have walked on this planet Earth of ours. Tesla was a genius who shaped the future we live in. We are especially glad that this International Conference on High Energy Physics is being held in Belgrade, in the Republic of Serbia," said Atlagic.

He also took the opportunity to thank the Faculty of Physics and the Institute of Physics of the University of Belgrade and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) who, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation and SANA (Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts), organised this conference.

At the meeting, attended by 350 guests, the Chairman of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society expressed his belief that this international conference will contribute to shaping our world's future in the field of high-energy physics and once again welcomed the representatives of state and scientific institutions from the country and abroad.
