8th sitting of the Committee on Urban Planning and Construction

At the sitting of the Committee on Urban Planning and Construction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia held on 4 April 2006, Committee members discussed the work of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers.



At the sitting of the Committee on Urban Planning and Construction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia held on 4 April 2006, Committee members discussed the work of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers. The Committee ruled to propose to the Ministry of Capital Investment to withdraw previously granted consent to the Articles of Association of the Chamber of Engineers and to instruct the Chamber to adopt a new set of Articles of Association. The Committee also requested the Ministry to submit, within 20 days, a report on activities of the Chamber of Engineers in 2005 and its plan of activities for 2006, as well as its 2005 financial report.

The Committee sitting also discussed the Bill Amending and Modifying the Planning and Construction Bill, proposed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia. The Committee endorsed the Bill by a majority of votes.

Having discussed the particulars of the Planning and Construction Bill, the Committee resolved to adopt 17 and reject 42 amendments submitted to the Bill by deputies. At the sitting, deputy Vladimir Milankov withdrew 10 amendments submitted by him together with deputies Branka Bosnjak and Vladimir Homan.

The sitting was chaired by Committee chairman Radojko Obradovic, who was appointed Committee Rapporteur for the National Assembly sitting, and attended by officials of the Ministry of Capital Investment and the Ministry of Development and International Economic Co-Operation.
