8th Session of the Constitutional Commission Held

The Constitutional Commission held the eighth session on Thursday, June 26, 2003. Prof. Stevan Lilic, Ph. D., the Deputy President of the Commission, presided over this session.

The session was attended, in addition to both Commission members and counselors-consultants, by Mr. Oliver Nikolic, Ph. D., on behalf of OSCE, and Ms. Nada Cuk on behalf of the Council of Europe.

The Constitutional Commission members were advised on activities of the Basic Issues and Coordination Sub-Committee, of the Territorial Organization Sub-Committee and of the Human Rights Sub-Committee. After advised, they resumed the discussion on points at issue in making of the Draft Constitution.

As agreed, sub-committees shall prepare working versions of constitutional chapters within their competencies, with alternative solutions to points at issue offered enclosed. Working versions shall be handed over to the Constitutional Commission for the further reconciliation.
