The Constitutional Commission held the seventh session on June 20, 2003 at 12.00h. Mr. Vladan Batic, Ph. D., presided over this session.

The manner of funding of the Constitutional Commission's work was discussed at this session. It was concluded for the public to be informed on the fact that the issue neither had been discussed nor any funds had been claimed so far either from the Government or from the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. Funds for the Commission's work shall be provided by the National Assembly Administrative Board, according to the Ruling of the Government, from the Republic of Serbia Budget. Granted funds shall be used reasonably, in accordance to decisions made by the Commission.

The Commission discussed issues of: sovereignty holder, definition of the State, both a manner of election and competencies of the President of the Republic, decentralization and state symbols - all of them defined at the Basic Issues and Coordination Sub-Committee session as possible points at issue. It was decided for sub-committees to make alternatives concerning the points at issue ready for the next session. The Commission is going to make preliminary decisions on these alternatives, which are to be starting positions for the further work. These alternatives are going to be discussed once more in the course of the Commission's decision making concerning the working version of the Constitution text.
