At its sixty-first session, held on 18 January 2006 and chaired by Tomislav Nikolic, the Administrative Committee discussed the Proposal of the Decision Modifying the Decision on Refund of Deputies’ Expenses, proposed by deputy Tomislav Nikolic. The proposed Decision more closely defines the manner of exercising deputies’ entitlement to a refund of expenses incurred in using their own automobiles to come to National Assembly and Committee sessions.

At the start of the sitting, Committee members were presented with proposals made by deputy Zoran Andjelkovic and deputies Milica Gavrilovic, Goran Paunovic, Milan Dimitrijevic, Petar Cvetkovic, Milos Aligrudic, and Miloljub Albijanic, which also foresee modifications and/or amendments to the Decision Modifying the Decision on Refund of Deputies’ Expenses.

Committee members exchanged views and made several proposals and suggestions. Also proposed was the formation of a working group, to be made up of one member from each Deputies’ Group represented on the Administrative Committee, which would be tasked with harmonising the text of the Proposal of the Decision and continue working on an integrated solution to how deputies’ work should be funded.
