60th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 18 June, the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered the amendments submitted to the Bill on Elementary Education and Upbringing, Bill on Secondary Education and Upbringing, Bill on Adult Education, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Pupil and Student Standard and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Innovation Activity.


The Committee deemed all the amendments compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.The Committee also declared the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Basic Principles of the System of Education and Upbringing compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia, except for the three amendments submitted by the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina Parliamentary Group to articles 7, 10 and 17 of the Bill, which were rejected as incomplete.At the sitting, the Committee also reviewed the amendments submitted to the Proposal of the Resolution on Legislative Policy and unanimously declared them compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia. The Committee unanimously decided to adopt the amendment submitted by MP Srdjan Mikovic and submit it to the National Assembly for adoption as its own amendment.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, MA Vladimir Cvijan.
