51st Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 4 June, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues reviewed the Fiscal Council’s request for additional employment of staff under temporary and occasional service contracts.

Elaborating the request, Fiscal Council Secretary Zlatiborka Andrejevic said that the 17 posts established by systematisation are filled with four employees who with three Fiscal Council members make up seven civil servants and appointed persons. She specified that the request asks for consent to extend the contract for five people, and recruit two when needed.

The Committee members unanimously granted consent to the Fiscal Council’s request for additional employment of staff under temporary and occasional service contracts.

The Committee then proceeded to discuss the Proposal of the Decision on Internal Order in the National Assembly Building. Committee Chairman Zoran Babic said that the regulation currently in force is the Decision on Internal Order in the National Assembly Building passed in 1994 and amended by the Decision passed in 2006, so additional amendments are necessary.

National Assembly Secretary General Jana Ljubicic elaborated on the Proposal of the Decision on Internal Order in the National Assembly Building. She said that the decisions in force concern the building in Kralja Milana Street, but since the National Assembly has been using the building in Nikola Pasic Square since 2006, it is necessary to pass a document which would regulate the internal order in both edifices.

“The proposed decision regulates the order in both buildings used by the National Assembly. It delineates the procedure for admitting persons into said buildings, and in addition to official visits, it includes individual and group visits to view the cultural heritage housed inside the structures and watch National Assembly sessions from the gallery. The use of offices and other areas inside the buildings, especially in the National Assembly House, was also a matter of special focus”, said Ljubicic.

The Secretary General informed the Committee members that a final version of the decision on accreditation and working conditions of media representatives at the National Assembly, which is closely connected with the decision on internal order, is being prepared.

The Committee members unanimously adopted the Proposal of the Decision on Internal Order in the National Assembly Building.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Zoran Babic.
