47th Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee

At the 47th sitting, held on 23 December, the Foreign Affairs Committee deliberated on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Activity Report for the period 1 January - 30 September 2015.


The sitting was attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs who presented the results the Ministry had achieved in the period covered by the report. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was engaged in pursuing the foreign policy goals of the Republic of Serbia – EU integration, development of relations and cooperation with the states in the region, most influential states and other partners in the international community, as well as maintenance of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia. In this period the Republic of Serbia had officially assumed chairmanship of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe.

As particular achievements at the international level Minister Dacic mentioned the opening of EU negotiation chapters 32 and 35, successful OSCE chairmanship in a very complex international situation and the prevention of so-called Kosovo joining UNESCO. Minister Dacic also reported on the organisational and financial elements of the Ministerial Council meeting in Belgrade.

The Committee unanimously decided to accept the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Activity Report for the period 1 January - 30 September 2015.
