46th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 30 October, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues deliberated in detail on the Bill on Dual Education, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Preschool Education, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Primary Education and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Secondary Education.


The Committee found all 308 amendments submitted to the Bill on Dual Education to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

Out of the 106 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Preschool Education the Committee rejected 15 as incomplete, while the rest were found to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The MPs had submitted 203 amendments to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Primary Education which the Committee members found to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia except for the amendment to Article 59 submitted by MPs Sanda Raskovic Ivic, Djordje Vukadinovic and Dr Dijana Vukomanovic which was rejected as incomplete.

Out of the 176 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Secondary Education the Committee found 26 not to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia, while the amendment adding new articles 51a and 51b after Article 51, submitted by MPs Sanda Raskovic Ivic, Djordje Vukadinovic and Dr Dijana Vukomanovic, was rejected as incomplete.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Djordje Komlenski and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Nedjo Jovanovic, Vesna Nikolic Vukajlovic, Krsto Janjusevic, Bojan Torbica, Jelena Zaric Kovacevic, Aleksandra Majkic, Gordana Comic, Srbislav Filipovic, Vojislav Vujic, Balint Pasztor, Jasmina Obradovic and Milena Corilic.
