41st Sitting of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality
At the sitting held on 1 March, the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality deliberated on the initiative of the Office for Human and Minority Rights to jointly celebrate 8 March – International Women’s Day at the National Assembly House.
The Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality adopted the proposal of the President of the Coordination Body for Gender Equality and Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic and the Director of the Office for Human and Minority Rights Suzana Paunovic to mark 8 March – International Women’s Day by an event at the National Assembly House with the topic “Changing awareness with our own strengths”, to be attended by women representatives from different business spheres and to also include a documentary and musical performances.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Meho Omerovic and attended by Committee members and deputy members Elvira Kovacs, Biljana Stosic Ilic, Dubravka Filipovski, Ljiljana Malusic, Suzana Sarac, Biljana Hasanovic Korac, Vladica Dimitrov, Stefana Miladinovic, Slobodan Peric and Ljibuska Lakatos.
