40th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 21 May 2021, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered, in principle, the Bill amending and modifying the Identity Card Law, submitted by the Government, Bill on Protection of Trades Secrets, submitted by the Government and the Bill amending and modifying the Excise Tax Law, submitted by the Government.

The Committee members found the bills to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee went on to adopt the Decision to organise the Fourth public hearing with the topic “Changes to the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia in the field of the judiciary”, on Wednesday, 26 May 2021, at noon, in Nis, at the City Assembly Grand Hall.

The Committee also adopted the Decision to organise the Fifth public hearing with the topic “Changes to the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia in the field of the judiciary”, on Thursday, 27 May 2021, at 9 am, in the National Assembly House, Small Hall.

The Committee adopted the Decision to organise the Sixth public hearing with the topic “Changes to the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia in the field of the judiciary”, on Monday, 31 May 2021, at noon, in Novi Sad.

The Committee members then adopted the Decision to organise the Seventh public hearing with the topic “Changes to the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia in the field of the judiciary”, on Wednesday, 2 June 2021, at noon, in Kragujevac.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Jelena Zaric Kovacevic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Zeljko Tomic, Olja Petrovic, Luka Kebara, Marko Mladenovic, Ugljesa Mrdic, Borisav Kovacevic, Dubravka Kralj, Srbislav Filipovic, Arpad Fremond, Ilija Matejic, Djordje Todorovic and Adam Sukalo.
