27th Sitting of the Environmental Protection Committee
At the sitting held on 25 July, the Environmental Protection Committee passed the following conclusions about the information on the activities implemented regarding the ash spread at the Nikola Tesla Thermal Power Plant ash dump site in Obrenovac:
2. The Committee demands that all the institutions be expeditions in their work and keep the Committee duly informed of it;
3. The Committee will hold a sitting to learn more about how the local self-governments have dealt with some of the problems relating to due and efficient accident responses;
4. The Committee will request that the Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection and other institutions provide information on the environmental situation and inspections conducted in PD Kolubara Mining Basin, PD Kostolac Thermal Power Plants and Mining, RTB Bor, HIP Azotara Pancevo and Pancevo Oil Refinery, which it would review at one of the upcoming sittings.
The sitting was chaired by Milica Vojic Markovic, Committee Chairperson.
