26th Sitting of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy
At the sitting held on 25 May 2015, the members of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy discussed the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Privatisation and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Standardisation, in principle.
The sitting was attended by Minister of Energy Zeljko Sertic and associates, and Privatisation Agency Director Ljubomir Subara. Minister Sertic briefed the attendees on the amendments included in the bills and stressed the importance of protecting the 17 enterprises in restructuring. He added that the Ministry strives to follow the so-called American model in all the coming projects viz. resolving all bankruptcies within 48 hours.
Following the ensuing discussion, the Committee decided to accept the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Privatisation and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Standardisation, in principle.
