22nd Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 15 September, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government deliberated on the Proposal of the Decision on the election of Deputy War Crimes Prosecutor and the withdrawal of the proposal the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government had forwarded to the National Assembly regarding the reviewed Proposal of the Decision on the election of Deputy Public Prosecutor.


The Proposal of the Decision on the election of Deputy War Crimes Prosecutor was presented by Committee Chairman Petar Petrovic who said that the State Prosecutorial Council had proposed that the National Assembly rule on it under urgent procedure because it is vital to fill the vacant deputy public prosecutor posts and enhance the efficiency of the prosecutor’s offices.

The State Prosecutorial Council nominated Svetislav Rabrenovic for prosecutorial assistant at the War Crimes Prosecutor’s Office, and the Committee members decided by majority vote to propose that the National Assembly accept the proposal.

The Committee went on to withdraw its proposal for the election of deputy public prosecutor of 17 July 2017 contained in the report submitted to the National Assembly

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Petar Petrovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Sreto Peric, doc. Dr Mihailo Jokic, Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, Nedjo Jovanovic, Jovan Palalic, Aleksandar Majkic, Miletic Mihajlovic, Djordje Komlenski, Zarko Micin, Balint Pasztor, Marko Parezanovic and Dragan Veljkovic.
