18th session of the Committee on Development and International Economic Relations

The Committee on Development and International Economic Relations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed, both in principle and in particular, the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on Public Enterprises and Performance of Activities of General Interest, and the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia, both of which had been proposed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.


The Committee on Development and International Economic Relations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed, both in principle and in particular, the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on Public Enterprises and Performance of Activities of General Interest, and the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia, both of which had been proposed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

The deputies, the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina had submitted 15 amendments to the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on Public Enterprises and Performance of Activities of General Interest, of which the Committee on Development and International Economic Relations endorsed four.

Members of the Committee on Development and International Economic Relations also endorsed two amendments, out of a total of nine, submitted by deputies to the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia.

The position of the Ministry of the Economy on amendments submitted to the Bills was presented by the Deputy Minister of the Economy, Zora Simovic.

The Report on the Activities of the Republic Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Entrepreneurship for the period from 1 January 2005 to 31 March 2005, presented by the Agency’s Director, Mirjana Jovanovic, was endorsed by the Committee.

The session was chaired by the Committee’s vice-chairman, Milan Nikolic.
