16th Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee

The 16th sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee, held on 14 March 2017, was closed to the public at the request of one third of its members.


The Committee completed an interview with the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Democratic Republic of Algeria Aleksandar Jankovic, before his deployment to diplomatic duty.

The Committee also considered, in principle, the Bill on the Confirmation of Status and Functions of the International Commission on Missing Persons, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic Guatemala on Visa Abolition for Diplomatic and Official Passport Holders and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand on Visa Abolition for Diplomatic and Official Passport Holders.

The Committee adopted an initiative for a visit and a report on realized visits, and also noted realized contacts.

Three new parliamentary friendship groups, with Austria, Morocco and Syria, were also constituted at the sitting.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic.
