16th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 22 October, the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues discussed, in principle, the bills included in the agenda for the Second Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly 2012.


Viz.: the Amnesty Bill, Bill amending the Law on Personal Data Protection, Migration Management Bill and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Medicines and Medical Devices, as well as the Bills on the Confirmation of the Guarantee Agreement (JSC Serbian Railways: Track Rehabilitation), between the Republic of Serbia and the European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development, of the Guarantee Agreement (Subotica Water Systems Improvement Project) between the Republic of Serbia and the European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development, of the Energy Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Italy and of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Georgia on Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Matters. The Committee deemed all the bills compliant with the Constitution and legal system.

The Committee also discussed the Proposal of the Decision on the Election of the Council of the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, submitted by the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending of the National Assembly and the Proposal of the Decision Granting Consent to the Statute of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia, submitted by the Industry Committee of the National Assembly and deemed them compliant with the Constitution and legal system.

The Committee went on to deem that the disputed provisions of the Law on Criminal Procedure, Law on Civil Procedure, Law on Road Traffic Transport, Value Added Tax Law, Law on Compulsory Traffic Insurance and Personal Income Tax Law, which have been the subject of a procedure for the estimation of constitutionality before the Constitutional Court, were compliant with the Constitution and legal system.

The sitting was chaired by MA Vladimir Cvijan, Committee Chairman.
