160th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 17 December, the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues reviewed the amendments submitted to the bills on the agenda for the Ninth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015.


Before commencing the proceedings, the Committee members decided to deliberate on the amendments to the Bill amending and modifying the Healthcare Law, Bill modifying the Law on Health Insurance and the Bill modifying the Law on Medical Documentation and Records at the next sitting.

The Committee members found all of the 141 amendments submitted to the Bill on Enforcement and Security, to be compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee also found all 104 of the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public Notaries, to be compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members found both amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Organisation of Courts, compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee also found all five of the amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Law on Judges, all eight of the amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Law on Public Prosecution, as well as all five of the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the High Judicial Council, to be compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The five amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the State Prosecutorial Council, the three amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Judicial Academy and the six amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Court Fees, were also found to be compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Deputy Chairperson Biljana Hasanovic Korac, and attended by Committee members Jasmina Obradovic, Branka Jankovic, Dragan Polovina, Annamaria Vicsek, Dragan Nikolic, Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic, Tanja Tomasevic Damnjanovic, Nedjo Jovanovic and Biljana Savovic.
