15th Belgrade Dance Festival
Speaking at today’s presentation of the 15th Belgrade Dance Festival at the traditional conference at the National Assembly House, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic said that the event has become something of a badge of honour for Belgrade, one that all of Serbia is proud to bear.
The National Assembly Speaker said that the Belgrade Dance Festival, thanks to the vision and dedication of its Director Aja Jung, has become an event of come note, recipient of numerous awards, attracting 23,000 viewers.
Gojkovic said that culture is a state’s ID and without it there can be no future which is why it is so important to make culture an every-day topic in Serbia, as it is today at the National Assembly.
Aja Jung, Director of the Belgrade Dance Festival, and the ambassadors Israel, Greece and Norway spoke at the conference at the National Assembly House.
This year’s Belgrade Dance Festival, 15 March - 4 April, will be featuring 24 choreographies by 15 dance companies from 14 countries – Israel, Greece, PR China, Norway, Australia, UK, USA, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Canada, Poland and the Netherlands.
