12th Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee
At the sitting held on 13 February, the Foreign Affairs Committee discussed and, by a majority of votes, accepted the Bill on Conclusion and Execution of International Treaties, in principle.
The Committee went on to discuss and unanimously accept the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the State of Israel on the Employment of Family Members of Diplomatic or Consular Staff and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on Gainful Employment of Family Members of the Staff of Diplomatic and Consular Representative Offices.
The Committee members accepted the Proposals of the Conclusions of the Initial Meeting of the Chairs of Foreign Affairs Committees of South-East Europe, held in Zargeb on 18 and 19 October 2012. It was agreed that Committee member Marija Obradovic would take part in the second meeting of the Chairs of Foreign Affairs Committees of South-East Europe, to be held in Sarajevo on 15 March 2013.
At the sitting, the Committee also accepted the invitation to take part in the consultative meeting on the potentials for the implementation of the Nordic model for the improvement of interparliamentary cooperation between the states of the Dayton Accords, in Sarajevo on 18 February 2013. It was agreed that the Committee should send an official invitation to the Chairman of the Danish Parliament’s Foreign Policy Committee to visit the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
At the end of the sitting, the Committee noted the amendments and modifications to the membership of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Belarus.
The sitting was chaired by Milos Aligrudic, Committee Chairman.
