10th Sitting of the Committee on the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region
At the sitting held on 9 April, the members of the Committee on the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region elected Aleksandra Djurovic of the Serbian Progressive Party Parliamentary Group, Committee Deputy Chairperson.
At the sitting, the Committee also adopted the Missing Persons Commission Activity Report reviewed at the Committee’s ninth sitting.
The Committee went on to review the Information on the official trip to Croatia of Dr Slavka Draskovic, Director of the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region. Following a longer discussion focused on exercising property and other rights of Serbs in Croatia and Serbs from Croatia, as well as the possible future activities of the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region and other state authorities on improving the position of Serbs in the region, the Committee members adopted the Information on Dr Slavka Draskovic’s official trip to Croatia.
The sitting was also attended by Vinko Stupar, representative of the Serbian cultural society Dawn (Zora), who outlined the problems related to the return of Serbs into Croatia.
