Twentieth Sitting of the Environmental Protection Committee

The Environmental Protection Committee held its twentieth sitting on 11 November 2010. The sitting was chaired by Cedomir Jovanovic, Committee Chairman.



The Environmental Protection Committee held its twentieth sitting on 11 November 2010. The sitting was chaired by Cedomir Jovanovic, Committee Chairman. On the behalf of the submitters the sitting was attended by Assistant Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Aleksandar Vesic and associates, and representatives of the Chemicals Agency, Republic Hydrometeorological Institute of Serbia and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

The deputies had submitted 20 amendments to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Chemicals. In its Opinion, the Government and the Committee accepted 3 and rejected 17 of the amendments.

To the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Biocides, the deputies had submitted 15 amendments. In its Opinion, the Government and the Committee accepted 2 and rejected 13 of the amendments.

The deputies had submitted 6 amendments to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment. In its Opinion, the Government and the Committee rejected all 6 amendments.

To the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Environmental Noise Protection, the deputies had submitted 13 amendments. In its Opinion, the Government and the Committee accepted 3 and rejected 10 of the amendments.

The deputies had submitted 28 amendments to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Environmental Protection. In its Opinion, the Government and the Committee accepted 9 and rejected 19 of the amendments. The Committee submitted 2 amendments of its own to the Bill.

To the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Waste Management, the deputies had submitted 10 amendments. In its Opinion, the Government and the Committee accepted 1 and rejected 9 of the amendments. The Committee submitted an amendment of its own to the Bill.

The deputies had submitted 16 amendments to the Bill on Meteorological and Hydrological Activities. In its Opinion, the Government and the Committee accepted 4 and rejected 12 of the amendments. The Committee submitted 2 amendments of its own to the Bill.
