Trade and Tourism Committee Members Talk to Slovenian National Assembly Delegation

A delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Committee on the Economy, headed by the Committee Chairman Matjaz Han, talked to the members of the Committee on Trade and Tourism at the National Assembly House.



A delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Committee on the Economy, headed by the Committee Chairman Matjaz Han, talked to the members of the Committee on Trade and Tourism at the National Assembly House.

Committee Chairman Dejan Nikolic briefed the Slovenian Assembly delegation on the work of the Committee on Trade and Tourism, as well as the National Assembly’s work and parliamentary activities. They also discussed the legislation regulating the sphere of tourism, work of tourist agencies and investment into the development of tourism and tourist offers in Serbia. Nikolic informed the delegation that a bill on spas is currently being drafted.

The members of both committees were also interested in the potential for future mutual cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Republic of Slovenia. Delegation head Matjaz Han thanked the Committee members for their hospitality. He briefed them on the development of spa tourism in Slovenia offering full cooperation as relates to sharing their experience in the sphere. In addition, he stressed that Serbia and Belgrade in particular are a favourite tourist destination for Slovenes and that many Serbian and Slovenian towns are twinned

The officials agreed that there is great potential for future cooperation and sharing of experience in the spheres of tourism and economy and that the Republic of Serbia and Republic of Slovenia share a common goal - establishing long-term parliamentary relations.

In addition to Committee Chairman Dejan Nikolic, the meeting was attended by Committee members Zoran Babic, Zoran Ostojic, Mihailo Puric, Bojana Stanojevic, Filip Stojanovic and Aleksandar Cotric.
