Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee Nada Kolundžija and Committee member Srdan Petrovic held talks today at the Serbian Assembly with the Rapporteur of the Political Affairs Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Claude Frey.

Rapporteur Claude Frey also met Deputy Dragan Maršicanin.

All the participants in the meeting agreed that it represented the continuation of dialogue, in a general climate of improving relations and furthering cooperation, which will result in a proposal for our country to become a full member of the Council of Europe.

The meeting especially dealt with upcoming activities in realising tasks set down by the Guidelines for the Redefinition of Relations between Serbia and Montenegro, and with development of mutual relations on new grounds, as well as with solving the problems in Kosovo and Metohija.

Rapporteur Claude Frey said that the report he would submit to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will propose the admittance of our country to the Council, as an expression of Europe's support, and as an incentive to further stabilisation and association of our country.
