Successful Cooperation between Serbia and NATO PA

During the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s annual session, held from 12 to 17 November in Warsaw, the members of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to the NATO PA met separately with the NATO PA President, Congressman John Tanner and Chairman of the Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security and the former NATO PA Vice-President, Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson, as well as the NATO PA Secretary-General David Hobbs.



During the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s annual session, held from 12 to 17 November in Warsaw, the members of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to the NATO PA met separately with the NATO PA President, Congressman John Tanner and Chairman of the Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security and the former NATO PA Vice-President, Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson, as well as the NATO PA Secretary-General David Hobbs.

On the occasion, Tanner and Emerson endorsed Serbia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration processes and declared the NATO PA delegation’s visit to Serbia in late October extremely useful and impressive. In addition, they expressed readiness for further cooperation with Serbia’s standing delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly as a confirmation of the continued excellent relations and cooperation between the National Assembly and NATO member states on the parliamentary level.

Vlajko Senic, Head of the Serbian Assembly’s standing delegation, stressed that the relations between Serbia and NATO have improved noticeably, expressing pleasure at the completion of Serbia’s mission at the NATO seat in Brussels.

The NARS delegation also met with the rapporteur of the NATO PA Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security, Marc Angel, who was in charge of the report on The Western Balkans 15 Years after Dayton: Achievements and Prospects. The Serbian delegation had submitted 6 amendments to the report, five of which were endorsed while the text was reformulated in compliance with the delegation’s remaining amendment.

The NARS delegation comprises Vlajko Senic, delegation Head, and delegation members Konstantin Samofalov, Edip Serifov, Nikola Lazic and Bozidar Delic.
