Sixth Sitting of the Security Services Control Committee

On 16 December 2024, the Security Services Control Committee held a sitting, closed to the public where it considered and adopted Military Security Agency regular activity reports covering the period 1 October 2023 - 30 September 2024.

The members of the Committee gave a positive assessment of the Military Security Agency’s reports, noting that they provide insight into the Military Security Agency’s work and results in the reporting period in a complete and precise manner.

It was established that during the reporting period, the Military Security Agency had managed to ensure the implementation of planned and extraordinary tasks, which ensured the timely detection and assessment of indicators of threats to the security of the defence system and the undertaking of effective counterintelligence and security protection measures by the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.

The report was presented by the Director of the Military Security Agency and his associates, who during the discussion answered all the Committee members’ questions about the current security situation in Serbia, with special emphasis on the security situation in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija.

Interagency cooperation was welcomed, as well as the Military Security Agency’s cooperation with the management and command bodies of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and other state bodies in the Republic of Serbia and other countries’ partner services, which contributed to the successful realisation of security and counterintelligence protection of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces,

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman MA Igor Becic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Aleksandar Mirkovic, Jasmina Obradovic, Radoslav Milojicic, Edis Durgutovic, Miroslav Aleksic, Dane Stanojcic and Ugljesa Markovic.
