Sixth Sitting of the Local Self-Government Committee

At its sixth sitting the Local Self-Government Committee conducted a joint discussion in principle on the Bills on Territorial Organisation, Local Self-Government, Local Elections and the Capital City, submitted by the Government.



At its sixth sitting the Local Self-Government Committee conducted a joint discussion in principle on the Bills on Territorial Organisation, Local Self-Government, Local Elections and the Capital City, submitted by the Government.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Jovan Palalic.

The elaboration of the Bills regulating the field of local self-government was given by the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Milan Markovic. He listed in short the most important innovations proposed by these systemic bills stressing that the main goal is to ensure the stability of local self-government and increase the responsibility of the bearers of local government.

After the completion of the discussion, the Committee endorsed the Bills on Territorial Organisation, Local Self-Government, Local Elections and the Capital City in principle.
