Sixth Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 1 May 2024, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues considered the resignation tendered to the post of MP by Djordje Milicevic.

The Committee ascertained that the situation falls under Article 131, paragraph 2, item 6 of the Law on Election of MPs which lists resignation as a reason for the termination of an MP’s term of office and proposed that the National Assembly note the termination of the term of office of said MP.

The Committee then proceeded to consider the request submitted by MP Vesna Petkovic Savovic and adopted the certificate allowing her to exercise the right to monthly cost compensation for apartment lease in Belgrade.

Seeing how an MP’s term of office ends on the day they tender their resignation, pursuant to Article 132, paragraph 5 of the Law on Election of MPs, the Committee ruled to propose that the National Assembly note the termination of the term of office of said MPs in line with Article 133 of the same Law.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Milenko Jovanov, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Ivana Nikolic, Olja Petrovic, Prof. Dr Miloljub Albijanic, Miroslav Petrasinovic, Aleksandar Jugovic, Goran Milic, Stefan Kitanovic, Djordje Komlenski, Jelena Milosevic, Uros Djokic, Stefan Janjic and Branimir Jovanovic.
