Seventh Sitting of the Constitutional Issues Committee
On 19 February 2010 the Constitutional Issues Committee held a sitting to consider the nominations for the election of Equality Protection Commissioner.
On 19 February 2010 the Constitutional Issues Committee held a sitting to consider the nominations for the election of Equality Protection Commissioner.
The Committee discussed two candidates, since candidate Dr Milutin Djuricic nominated by Deputy Group For European Serbia informed the Committee Chairperson that he was withdrawing his candidacy.
The Committee members interviewed candidates Gordana Cusic, who submitted her own candidacy and Goran Miletic, nominated by the Liberal Democratic Party and posed various question regarding their work on human rights protection so far.
The Committee did not determine the nominations for the election of Equality Protection Commissioner as neither of the candidates gained the required majority of the Committee’s votes.
The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairperson, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic.
