Serbian and Swiss Parliamentarians Cooperate at OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Session in Turkey
The National Assembly’s standing delegation taking part in the 22nd Annual Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Istanbul, signed a Declaration of Intent with the Swiss parliamentary delegation stating the principles of cooperation between parliamentarians in the period 2014-2015 when the two countries would be co-chairing the global organisation comprising 57 countries of the world.
According to the Head of the National Assembly’s standing delegation, Dr Dijana Vukomanovic, the Serbian and Swiss parliamentarians “are ready to cooperate and play an active role in pursuing the fundamental goals of the OSCE as a global organisation working for almost 40 years on establishing a free, democratic security community in 57 countries of the world, from Vladivostok to Vancouver. This is how the Serbian parliamentarians can actively contribute to Serbia’s European and global diplomacy”.
In addition to Dr Dijana Vukomanovic, the National Assembly was also represented by MPs Gordana Comic, who was elected rapporteur of the OSCE General Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions, Meho Omerovic and Nenad Konstantinovic.
