Security Services Control Committee in Supervisory Visit to Military Security Agency Centre I

In line with the Committee’s 2015 Activity Plan, the members of the Security Services Control Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia conducted a supervisory visit to Military Security Agency Centre I in Belgrade, on 22 July 2015.


The Committee delegation was headed by Committee Chairman Momir Stojanovic and comprised Committee member Meho Omerovic and Committee substitute members Jelena Mijatovic, Sinisa Maksimovic, Dusan Petrovic and Vladimir Djukanovic.

As stipulated by the law, the Committee delegation inspected the legality of the operation of Military Security Agency Centre I, was briefed on the problems it encounters in its day-to-day work and ascertained that the members of Military Security Agency Centre I in Belgrade act professionally, in line with the legally prescribed procedures and that there are no irregularities.

In the course of the supervisory visit the members of the Committee’s delegation focused on counterintelligence and security protection of persons, facilities and conn systems, following security check criteria for persons employed at the Ministry of Defence and controlling the implementation of special procedures and measures for the collection of confidential data. The Committee delegation was also allowed direct insight into documentation relating to cases processed in the period 2014 and first half of 2015 found no irregularities.

The supervisory visit to Military Security Agency Centre I completes the cycle of planned supervisory visits to security services’ headquarters and area units in 2015.
