The delegation was headed by Committee Chairperson Jadranka Joksimovic and comprised Committee members and deputy members MPs Meho Omerovic, Igor Becic, Dragan Sutanovac, Miroljub Stojcic, Ivan Andric, Jelena Travar Miljevic and Nenad Konstantinovic.
The study visit was co-organised by the Security Services Control Committee, Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) and the Democratisation Department of the OSCE Mission to Serbia.
In the course of the study visit the Committee members and DCAF experts discussed issues relating to security intelligence system management and the principle of accountability in the system, with a special focus on the role of parliamentary supervisory bodies.
In the course of the study visit the Committee members met with the representatives of the Swiss parliamentary Control Committee, representatives of the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of the Swiss Federal Intelligence Service. On the occasion they exchanged opinions and experiences and learned about the system of management and supervision of the Swiss security intelligence system.
