Security Services Control Committee Members in Study Visit to Switzerland
The members of the Security Services Control Committee paid a study visit to Switzerland from 21 to 24 October 2013.
The study visit was co-organised by the Security Services Control Committee, Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) and the Democratisation Department of the OSCE Mission to Serbia.
In the course of the study visit the Committee members and DCAF experts discussed issues relating to security intelligence system management and the principle of accountability in the system, with a special focus on the role of parliamentary supervisory bodies.
In the course of the study visit the Committee members met with the representatives of the Swiss parliamentary Control Committee, representatives of the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of the Swiss Federal Intelligence Service. On the occasion they exchanged opinions and experiences and learned about the system of management and supervision of the Swiss security intelligence system.
