In the course of the visit to the Security Information Agency, the members of the Security Services Control Committee toured the Agency offices and spoke to the Agency Director and members. The Committee members were briefed on the Agency’s organisation and work and the manner of implementation of special procedures and measures for secret data collection, as stipulated by the Law on the Security Information Agency and Criminal Procedure Code.
In the course of the visit to the Security Information Agency, the Committee members also visited the premises of the National Security Academy and commended the establishment of the independent higher education institution.
The visit to the Security Information Agency concluded the Committee’s cycle of visits to the security services paid in preparation for the supervisory visits. In the course of July the Committee will, in line with its Activity Plan, pay supervisory visits to all the security services in order survey the legality of the implementation of special procedures and measures for secret data collection.
